The best thing about my job is to be able to see kids improve each day, even when they have a bad day it is amazing to me how they manage to make it better.
If I could travel to any place in the world, I would go to my home country of Mexico. It has so many beautiful places to visit. Since my family is not able to come to the United States, I would prefer to travel close to them so I could enjoy their company and so they could spend time with my kids.
HUGS are the awesome reward I get often at my work. Without having to say anything, when the students give me a hug, I receive their trust, affection and their beautiful smiles.
I would go for a week to the International Space Station to get the privileged point of observation, not only of the storms, dazzling lights and the spectacular extremes that form our existence on this planet, but also the infinite array of stars, galaxies and wonders that extend beyond our reach. Humbling experience!
The best thing about my work is the children. I have never had a job where it is fun to go to work every day and every day is different!
If I could spend a week anywhere in the world, I would love to see the terra-cotta warriors and the gardens in Japan, Uluru in Australia, Bora-Bora, Castles on the Rhine, Tuscany, the Colosseum, the Kalahari and the Aurora Borealis. But if I only have a week, I probably would go camping on the Oregon coast.
I really like the MVM community. The students, the teachers, parents and people of this school have a great passion for our education. Every day we learn something, we focus, laugh, cry and understand and share our sincere heart to each other. I am so happy to be a part of this community.
I would like to go to Hawaii. There are so many things to do there. It is very nice and relaxing to sit on the sandy beach by the ocean, listen to Hawaiian music and watch the pretty sunset! I would simply enjoy paradise! Also, the food is fantastic over there so I could have Japanese food anytime I want.
The best thing about my work is the community of teachers working in cooperation, who set an example for the children to learn to be respectful and cooperate with each other. There is such joy and the teachers work so well together.
If I could spend a week anywhere in the world, I would go inside myself and enjoy wherever I am in the present moment and let spirit guide me on a wondrous journey.
The best thing about my work is the people I work with.
The students are amazing. It gives me great joy to see the work they are capable of and the genuine satisfaction they get from learning. The faculty and staff are so incredibly supportive, it makes coming to work a pleasure.
If I could spend a week anywhere in the world I would go BACK to Hawaii.
I would spend time with my Ohana there and ease back into the pace of "island time” I miss so much!
When the opportunity came to mingle my love of adolescents, writing, and yoga in a Montessori setting, I could not let it pass. It's a pleasure to guide the students during this plane of development, and I am continually inspired by their character, ideas, and work.
I once resided in Hawaii and daydream about a return to the warmth and familiar spots, but this homebody prefers home.
