2020 Landmark Year for MVM
2020 marks our 50th anniversary! Our school began in 1970 in the basement of Trinity Church at Rainbow and Island Streets in downtown Reno. In 1999 we moved to our south Reno campus. In both locations, over five decades, we have been extremely fortunate and honored to serve a vast number of children and families in our Northern Nevada 
Community.
Our solid foundation and strong MVM community are the work of many hands. We are humbled by the steadfast commitment, dedication and generosity of faculty, staff, students, parents, friends and community patrons throughout our 50 years. Thank you!
2020 also marks the 150th anniversary of Dr. Maria Montessori’s birthday. Born in 1870, Dr. Montessori’s work has had a profound impact on the study and understanding of human development, education, social reform and advocacy for the rights of children around the world for the last 112 years.
I am excited to tell you we will be celebrating MVM’s longevity and Dr. Montessori’s extensive legacy throughout 2020!
