My husband and I decided Montessori was the best educational choice for our children. Of greatest importance to us was how it honors the whole child, emphasis is not on results of continuous high stakes testing or grades. Although there is academic rigor, the importance of social-emotional development and wellness are not neglected. Additionally, children gain a life long love of learning by participating in project-based, authentic learning experiences. As a teacher for many years in traditional schools, I have seen the difference first hand. I feel extremely fortunate to be working at Mountain View Montessori and to be a part of something I believe in.

I enjoy seeing the students light up during hands-on science lab work.

If I could go anywhere in the world I would relax on a serene tropical island.
