I chose Montessori because the first time I walked into a Montessori classroom and was given a tour and introduction to the educational philosophy, I immediately wanted to know more! After college I knew I didn't want to teach in a traditional style school, I came upon Montessori and have never looked back. The lessons I most enjoy giving in class are grace and courtesy. They are given daily and are essential to the cohesiveness of our classroom community. Our children will not thrive in an environment without respect for others, self-expression, confidence and the ability to solve conflict peacefully. If I could spend a week anywhere in the world, I would go to Cinque Terre, Italy.
